Arsenal are in a state of turmoil after Granit Xhaka stormed off the pitch during the club's 2-2 draw against Crystal Palace, with the fallout still unravelling in the days since.

Jurgen Klopp's side, meanwhile, are three points clear at the top of the Premier League table after defeating Tottenham 2-1 on the weekend.

Manchester City and Everton are amongst the sides already to qualify for the last-eight, while Chelsea take on Manchester United at Stamford Bridge

Liverpool have confirmed that youngster Caoimhin Kelleher is set to start in goal for Jurgen Klopp’s side, while there is likely to be plenty of rotation elsewhere. Ki-Jana Hoever, Curtis Jones and Harvey Elliott are among those potentially in the frame for starting berths.

Arsenal are also likely to give opportunities to younger players, with Emile Smith Rowe and Gabriel Martinelli perhaps in line for starts in the front four. Reiss Nelson remains absent, and it is unlikely that Mesut Ozil’s exile is ended.

The Reds are coming off a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Tottenham in the Premier League on Sunday, while the Gunners were held to a 2-2 draw by Crystal Palace on the same afternoon. It has been a difficult time for Arsenal boss Unai Emery, struggling for consistent results and dealing with the backlash to captain Granit Xhaka’s clash with fans at the weekend. Klopp has no such troubles, sitting top of the Premier League table and looking to unleash his promising youngsters in front of his home crowd.

Liverpool are set to pick a number of youngsters for the contest, including Caoimhin Kelleher, Curtis Jones, Harvey Elliott and Rhian Brewster. First team players that have been struggling for game time are also likely to play, including Naby Keita, Adam Lallana and Joe Gomez, although Joel Matip and Xherdan Shaqiri are out injured. Arsenal will also be turning to youth, resting the likes of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette up front, with Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli coming in.
