Opening exhibition RMBRNDT.NU, 3 October
Thursday, October 3, 7 pm.
On Thursday 3 October 2019, the eve of the 350th death anniversary of Rembrandt van Rijn, the Netherlands' best-known old master, the exhibition RMBRNDT.NU opens.
RMBRNDT.NU is an exhibition that shows that Rembrandt still gives new inspiration to contemporary artists. RMBRNDT.NU is seeing Rembrandt in a new jacket.
24 works of art
Of the more than 200 submitted works, the professional jury (art dealer Jan Six, former art journalist Bertjan ter Braak and GO Gallery owner Oscar van der Voorn) selected 24 works of art to exhibit. In the past 2 months, they assessed more than 200 submitted works on the use of new art forms, technology and 'out of the box' creativity.
The opening itself will be special because there is "artificial intelligence" in an artwork a la Rembrandt where visitors can be found in the work itself. A technical high light that you should see with your own eyes! In addition, there are many different types of works; in addition to paintings and photographs, objects made with fabric, glass, bronze, ceramics, but also 3D, and installations.
