Daniel Gould to Jim Driscoll
Hi JD:
Funny how you overlook different aspects of the game and how someone contributes. Castro had an RBI...That's as good as a hit any day. You seem to also ignore the fact that Barney was 2 for 3 yesterday and the day before, in which the Cubs managed only three hits, he had one of them.
Sincerely;
Dan Keep ém honest Gould

STILL....THE AVERAGES ARE COMING DOWN. THAT'S THE FOCAL POINT.
I'M NOT SAYING THEY ARE BAD PLAYERS OR ARE NOT HELPING THEIR TEAM. IN FACT,
I LIKE CASTRO....AND WISH THE ANGELS HAD HIM!!

Hi JD;
Yeah, they DO come down, but they keep springing back up. Wait 'til Castro and Barney have a little more maturity.
To your taunt of Castro going 0 for 3---on Saturday---I pointed out that he DID have an RBI. I forgot to mention that the Cubs won 3 to 2. That RBI was worth more than a hit anyway you look at it. Oh, yeah, he was 2 for 5 on Monday; and Barney got his 3rd triple of the season...But I am pleased that you have admitted that you like him.
You are an Angels' fan. Well, that is in keeping with your B-movie addiction since it was Gene Autry's team. Why haven't you changed your allegiance to the Mariners?
Sincerely;
Dan

I AM NOT A HOMER. ANYONE WHO ROOTS FOR THE HOME TEAM, SIMPLY BECAUSE IT IS THE "HOME" TEAM, IS A WEAK SUCK
THAT DOES IT JUST TO "FOLLOW THE CROWD".
BESIDES...THE MARINERS REALLY STINK!!!!!!!!!

Castro is holding up, but Barney is plummeting..................

Hi JD;
Damn, Castro only got one hit yesterday...Oh, yeah, it was a triple; his fifth of the year. How can you say Barney is plummeting? That is not an accurate statement.
As to your comment in regard to "homers" I will neither agree nor disagree. I think I told you that when I lived in NYC I could not follow neither the Damn Yankees nor the Mets. It was a long three years. And as to following losers, well, I'm a Cubbies fan...And that should say it all.
Sincerely;
Dan

(Download photos) The dirty ol' man lives...And he is in heaven...With an angel or two...Of course, how you define "angel" is subjective. One's angel is another one's devil...However, anyway you look at it, it doesn't get any better. Kid you not!
Sincerely;
D
PS to JD;
Castro was 3 for 5 on Monday and 3 for 3 on Thursday...How about that?

Daniel Gould to Jim Driscoll
Hi JD;
Hey, thanks for the compliment of my being "one dirty ol' sick bastard," Sick? Sick? As a matter of fact, Daniel R. Gould is alive and well and living in Amsterdam!
In this city's cultural atmosphere the juices flow and hormones overcome the ravages of age. It all comes down to...just another day in paradise.
Castro had two hits on both Friday and Saturday against the mighty Yankees...For the season, 20 doubles, four triples, 90 hits (fourth in the Majors) and is batting a paltry .317. Yeah, sure, I know, just a fluke... But, hey, he is just a kid.
Sincerely;
Dan
